The iconic ivory hooked zig-zag Bordshaly border is set off by two-tone red, rust, and blue triangles with a scattering of small, perky birds. The well-abrashed red field shows two columns of nine squares with L-shaped projects, all in tones of navy, ivory, light red, pale green, and medium dark blue, and with more perching triangular birds. Octagon outer minor with barber-pole striped dividers on chocolate brown. Medium coarse weave, all wool construction with long pile. Good condition. Circa 1880.
