In a general urban Turkish style, with a rust red field, this very finely woven NW Persian scatter shows lateral floral “columns” flanking a long-petal boquet topped with a crown, under scalloped ivory hyacinth spray corners. Ivory strip-style border of pointed crosses and open octagons enclosing little palmettes.Silk foundation, extremely pliable. Good condition wall hanging with exceptional rust-red field tone. Quite rare in this condition. A village rug thoroughly in a high urban tradition.
