The warm, glowing, faintly abrash mature madder red field displays exactly six obliquely rayed and voluted bug palmettes in brown-black, medium-light blue, and straw. The central ivory border shows discrete rayed diamonds and triple quincunx-like elements. It is flanked by bold bitonal abrash medium blue and brown-black minors in common flower-keyhole patterns—S-pattern guard lines. Good condition for this all wool, SW Caucasian Armenian long scatter with a moderately coarse weave. A very attractive older, antique Kazak.
