The old ivory field displays echelons of bent, C-shaped, serrated, horizontal leaves fastened to vertical poles. The pattern twice slips laterally towards one end, a delightful tribal feature. Coral-pink main border of blue triangles and flip-flop simple palmettes. Narrow rhomboid pattern extra pile strip at each end. The pattern is also seen on SW Persian tribal Baseri Khamseh rugs. Here it is SE Persian Afshar instead. Moderate/medium weave. Good condition.
