DESCRIPTION
This solidly woven western village scatter in the incredibly popular American Sarouk design, which began about 1920. The open central floral spray motif is neatly surrounded by more floral sprays, all on a slightly open rose-red ground‚ Äîa Royal blue border with bud and regular palmettes. Good condition. This style of Sarouks was/is probably the most famous Oriental rug type ever in the United States.
