Antique Bakhshayesh Rug 3'9'' x 4'9''. Or maybe a more uncommon NW Persian village small scatter. The cotton foundation supports a wool pile with an abrashed camel-tone field centred by a stepped mid-blue hexagonal medallion, surrounded by a halo of tiny floating lazy S's. Two hooked inner diamonds, and four blue lateral triangles. Hooked diamond color sampler tertiaries and a few small rustic animals. Medium blue border with color-sampler rosettes and double head arrows. Moderate weave. Good condition with intact ecru end weaves.
