DESCRIPTION

Heriz Carpet Antique. In the “Bakhshayesh'' manner, with an open, abrashed madder rust-red sub-field, floating a stepped, lozengoid navy medallion with a pale blue centre. The actual field is in an abrashed teal to medium blue tone, with an allover smooth leaf pattern. The straw Zanbaki  border features irises, rosettes and divider bars. The colour changes in the red field amply show the work of distinct weavers.
