Antique Cloudband Kazak Rug 3'9'' x 7'9''. SW Caucasus/Armenia. Boldly patterned, strongly coloured, totally geometric, all wool, coarse to moderate weave, medium to long pile, scatter format pieces, in medallion, allover and prayer (directional) layouts, with numerous identified source villages: Karachof, Bord shaly, Sewan, Shulaver and Lori Pambak. Natural dyes, decorative to highly collectible. Often dated.
