Antique Aubusson-Beauvais Tapestry 2'1'' x 2'1''. Originally a finely woven chair set covering, this is a pictorial landscape piece in toners of cream, red, light red, buff sand spots of powder blue. Frame it or sit on it. A rustic dwelling sits on a bluff above a placid river, surrounded by leafy trees and with a sort of small cage and cloth thrown near to the foreground. A complete seating ensemble would have had numerous chairs (bergeres) and a couch (settee) or two with similar or ichnographically connected scenes.
