This finely woven ÒHajji JaliliÓ style of Tabriz carpet shows a ÒbookcoverÓ field layout, with a small, perfectly executed allover Herati design in navy, creamy beige and red developing outward from the stepped sub-medallion. The stepping becomes part of the Heratiand remains uniform throughout. The strip-style navy main border displays reversing turtles, rosettes and boteh leaves with curled tips. Cotton foundation, with a brisk, short, resilient pile.
