DESCRIPTION

The near black field violates the inner minor border on all four sides. A large red and medium blue medallion dominates the cartouche, and triple posy flowers fit neatly in the projections. Cream corners and side pieces. Royal blue border with a simple version of the "tangerine flower" repeat. Creative example of mid-century, or later Hamadan work. Moderate weave. Good condition.
