This post-WWII SE bespoke city carpet, clearly woven for the American Market, shows a natural straw-ecru open field hosting a layered light blue/light green cartouche medallion, framed by extended openwork foliage filigree corners. Rust volute-defined border corner elements penetrate into the field. Rust scrolling vine along the sides and cartouches at the ends. Wide, softer palette. Fine weave. Good condition. Exceptional format requires an equally exceptional space.
