This traditional Persianate piece shows a navy ground closely filled with petal palmettes, barbed rams'horn volute leaves, forked barbed leaves, and fantastic flowers. The pattern slips ever so slightly towards one end, but it is remarkably balanced. Straw border with reversing fantasy palmettes and interlacing forked vinery. Well-woven. Recent. As new condition.
