DESCRIPTION

From northeast China, this export carpet shows a deep blue field organized by an open arabesque and four paeony medallion, around which easily flow six small tree paeonies, and paeony and spiral arabesque open corners. Beige main borer with paeonies and arabesques. Plain dark blue uttermost frame matches field. Fair condition with varying wear. Cotton foundation, moderate/medium weave.
