An attractive tribal rug with an outstanding banana yellow in the stepped central medallion, the triangular corners, the minor borders, and scattered details everywhere, but where is it from? The red subfield shows small flowers drawn in the general SE Afshar tribal manner and the encompassing navy field and extended red corners continue this graphic style. Navy border with a smoothly undulating tendril punctuated by ivory star flowers. Cotton foundation, moderate but even weave. Crisp palette, good condition.
