This is a totally classic NW village carpet with a totally natural dye palette including: a madder red field with a navy indigo palmette octogramme medallion and ivory corners with salmon red “quarter medallion'' inward projections. Mustard, green, ecru, light blue and saturated rust-red are among the detail colors. Well-drawn navy borders with elaborate petal palmettes, flap petal rosettes and barbed curved leaves. Medium-coarse rustic weave, cotton foundation. Good condition.
