Antique Shahsaband Rug 1'7'' x 3'6''. The tribes in the steppe areas of NW Persia weave a wide variety of sumak technique bags in geometric patterns. A few long rugs are also attributed, on no particular ground, to this group. Fine weave for the Sumak pieces; crisp palettes.
