This recent copy of a 17th century Oushak “bird carpet'' shows two columns of “bird'' leaves around a central run of rosettes, on a straw-sand ground. Straw-sand border with cloud bands and rosettes. The “bird'' pattern never really gores out of style and the limited palette works with any type of décor. Medium weave. Good condition.
