This tribal rug, with its four panel pattern divided by tonal variants of the flip-flop vine design, is in the style of door rugs intended for normadic, round wool tents or yurts. Characteristic "double E" main border Moderate/coarse weave on goat hair warps. From the Ersari Turkmen tribe in NW. Vintage. Good condition. The pattern has been vertically symmetrized to make it more useful in a Western context.
