DESCRIPTION

The tall, navy pointed octogramme medallion is detailed with palmettes growing from the longer points of the 16 point central rust sub-medallion. At ech internal end of the medallion are off white flower sprays. The shaped rust sub-field shows floral sprays on the way to the 1920' s “American Sarouk'' pattern. The ivory field shows arabesque corners and half-pendant side extensions. Navy border of rosettes and palmettes, one side rounder, one squarer, a sign of village work without a cartoon. Cotton foundation. Good condition.
