This “book-cover'' patterned Tabriz scatter shows a red cartouche-shaped subfield centred by a stepped and scalloped navy medallion dominated by four pairs of salient split arabesques. Navy surrounding field and straw-sand corners, Red border with oval palmettes and stepped, wriggling vines. From the desirable “Hajji Jalili'' period, with a fine weave, upright pile and natural palette. Good condition.
