The allover pattern of rosettes, palmettes, leaves and open diamonds, best manifested on Herat(i) carpets from Khorassan, usually in long formats (kellegi) of the 18^th and 19^th centuries, with soft wool and a characteristic mulberry (cochineal) red. Other patterns include the Mina Khani. No prayer rugs, no early scatters, no runners. Moderately expensive.
