Wholly in the Khotan Xinjiang aesthetic, this moderately woven, cotton foundation carpet shows an attractively abrashed rust field fixed by a square medallion with an inner octagon finished with a bent sunburst fringe. "Moon" medallions above and below, squares and petal palmettes to the sides. Fret corners. Straw, sand, pale green, pale pink? details. Polychrome broad zig-zag main border.
