The sandy straw field displays a pinched elliptical black subfield alive with sharply curved leaves, wiry arabesque vines and active palmettes, all around the flame edged round sand cream medallion with a red concave octagon centre. Compound palmette medallion pendants. Palmettes in lobes along the outer subfield edges. Dark red palmette border with torch-shaped corner palmettes sprouting groups of rosettes. Very finely woven, cotton foundation; short, velvety, firm pile. As new condition.
