Patchwork rugs are a recent innovation, giving vintage pieces an entirely new look. Here are five columns of square fragments in sky blue, old ivory, cream, navy and red, some over dyed, with floral, geometric and fractional medallion patterns. The patches here range from worn flat to distressed in condition. The comb-like joining stitches add a zipper-like texture.
