DESCRIPTION

This west village scatter with the characteristic navy octofoil and cartouche border, is in the typical Heriz style with a dodecanal (12 lobe) palmette sub-medallion, set on a conforming stepped ecru medallion with a few dark brown accents, and, in turn, is placed on a minutely stepped red hexagonal Herati sub-field within an ivory Herati-patterned ground in similar scale. Well woven on a cotton foundation. Good condition.
