DESCRIPTION

An upright, elliptical 20-point red arabesque medallion employs a straw and navy layered sub-medallion, on the old ivory ground whose complex palmettes diminish toward the implicit oval field ends; a characteristic Isfahan design conceit. Navy arabesque corners. Red main border with cartouches, palmettes and vases. Very fine weave, cotton foundation, short and stiff velvet pile. Good condition.
