Antique Kashan Rug 4'8'' x 6'11''. Central Persian city known for finely woven. room size and scatter rugs, with dominant reds and navy, and medallion patterns and swirling palmettes. Wool and a few silk pieces. Active since the 16th century, but with breaks, Revival began with Mohtasham in the 1880's.
