A "second generation" Mohtasham from central Persia, this finely woven urban creation shows a five by six array of red flame-tongued medallions embedded in a dense abrashed blue repeating arabesquerie, on an ecru ground. Navy border of ragged rosettes and split cursive "M" shapes. Velvety, short Merino wool pile. Cotton foundation. Good condition for the type and use. Desirable size.
