Antique Persian Rug 4'3'' x 6'9''. Attributed to Mohajeran village, the source of many of the best Sarouks, this straw field scatter mixes the detached floral spry field pattern with the earlier Farahan Sarouk border of rosettes and lobed cartouches. Flowering vases accent the disjoint pattern and a navy ogival hexagonal medallion shows internally radiating palettes. Well-woven on cotton with unusual, attractive drawing and palette. Good condition.
