Red field, overall patterns with large barbed or fringed leaves and an under 7' by 10' size are characteristic of Mehriban/Heriz Interwar carpets. This example with a cotton foundation and medium-coarse weave is accented in cream, lemon, straw, green, light blue and brown-black. Near black border with reversing turtle palmettes. Good condition.
