DESCRIPTION

The ivory field of this narrow rustic kenare (runner) shows five alternating navy and red cartouche medallions liked into a pole medallion in the Sarab style. Near black corners. Cream main border with diamonds and hourglasses, Fringe of “nails'' around field edge. Border narrows slightly to one side. A one-woman rug, made from right to left, thus accounting for the slight asymmetry in spacing. Moderate weave, good condition.
