Antique Caucasian Shrivan Rug 4'4'' x 8'5''
With a beige wool warp more often attributed to Kuba in the eastern Caucasus, this village Kellegi (long rug) shows three red Soumak-style reticulated medallions linked by Navy reserves and stepped bent ivory lines, all on the navy field. Birds and small animals enliven the background scatter. Ivory Kuba-Lesqhi border of variously-colored hexagons. Medium weave. Good condition.
