DESCRIPTION

This finely woven city scatter has a cream field closely covered by an ivory arabesque pattern creating curvaceous navy or rose cartouches with small boteh decoration and concave diamonds as both centres and joins. Floral infill takes up the remaining spaces. Ecru border with repeating palmette octogrammes. Boteh and rosette minor borders. An elegant scatter with a very complex design. Some very sight wear, but good condition on a cotton foundation and with a wide, natural palette.
