DESCRIPTION

This well-woven small scatter is woven in or around the village of Jozan, between the Hamadan and Arak weaving areas. The royal blue field shows a pendanted, curly-hooked red medallion with barbed ecru acanthus edge. En suite corners with camel-straw edges. Wiry islimis (spiral vines) surround colorful buds and flowers. Characteristic red border with twisted and dotted meander. Leathery texture. Good condition.
