This extremely finely and evenly knotted NW Anatolian silk shows a straw-cream ground supporting a red, blue and ecru four pendant medallion enclosing four pairs of elaborate carnations. Flowering vine sprays decorate the field. Field penetrates the side borders. Dark royal blue main border with carnations, cartouches and barbed saz leaves. Ecru minors with rosettes. Signed in metal thread. As new condition with a silk warp.
